about LAIB CHRISTI

LAIB CHRISTI

The term LAIB CHRISTI unites two of the most essential principles for Christian living.

1) BODY OF CHRIST

As living members of the Body of Christ, we place ourselves at the service of our Lord Jesus Christ and work together to fulfil His great work of redemption.

One body, many members – according to 1 Corinthians 12,12-26

Key message:

“Think of the human body as a comparison! It is a unit made up of many parts; or look at it the other way round: It is made up of many parts, all of which together form a coherent whole. It is the same with Christ. For all of us – whether Jews or Gentiles, slaves or free – have been baptised with the same Spirit and have been given to drink from the same fountain, the Spirit of God, and by this we have all become one body.”  – 1 Corinthians 12,12-13

2) BREAD OF LIFE

By baking the LAIB CHRISTI – bread of Life – together as Christians following Jesus Christ, the greatest miracle of our existence is automatically fulfilled – we receive eternal life.

The Bread of Life – according to John 6,26-59

Key message:

“I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever.” – John 6,51

Key message:

“I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever.” – John 6,51

Our mission

Unity of Christianity

We create spaces where diverse people with various gifts and talents can work together as the body of Christ for themselves, for their neighbours, for people in need and for God.

One Spirit, many gifts – according to 1 Corinthians 12,4-11

Key message:

“There are many different gifts, but it is one and the same Spirit who gives them to us. There are many different ministries, but it is one and the same Lord who assigns them to us. There are many different powers, but it is one and the same God through whom they are all made effective in all of us. In each one the work of the Spirit is manifested in a different way, but it is always for the benefit of the whole church.” – 1 Corinthians 12,4-7

Care for body, soul and spirit

We bake the LAIB CHRISTI – the bread of Life – for communion and to feed the poor, hungry and needy.

The Bread of Life for the Common Supper

As the eating continued, Jesus took bread, thanked God for it, broke it into pieces and gave it to the disciples with the words: “Take and eat, this is my body.” – Matthew 26,26

The bread of life for the poor, hungry and needy

“For I was hungry, and you gave me to eat.” […] Then the righteous will ask: “Lord, when did we see you hungry and give you food?” […] Then the king will answer them: “I say to you: Whatever you did for one of my brothers, no matter how little he was esteemed, you did for me.” […] “So they (those who did not feed Jesus) will go to the place of eternal punishment, but the righteous will enter into eternal life.” – Matthew 25,35-46
